3 Mistakes to Avoid When Blogging
Most of us are blogging but are we satisfied with the results?
Not really!
Every time you post fresh content into our blog, you hope it will attract more people. Sometimes you get a few hits, sometimes more, but the truth is, you could always do with more and better traffic.
What’s preventing people from coming back to your blog? You write well, populate your blog with pictures and photographs… so what’s missing?
If your efforts to popularize your blog have not lived up to your expectations, check out these 3 common mistakes most bloggers make and how you can avoid them:
1. If you’re not being personal, there’s no need to blog. People come to your blog for your views and news about your company, and not generic updates. So be specific and post the things you know your audience will be interested in. Playing it safe can only lead to boredom for the readers and rapidly diminish traffic for you.
2. Laziness and impatience are the two diseases which kill a blog. When an individual begins blogging, they are full of energy and passion. They make a couple of posts or so, but are unable to drive satisfactory traffic to the blog, and then depression and disgust creep in. You must understand that influencing human actions is not easy, it takes time. So when you are blogging, you must be regular and patient!
3. Not replying to comments from your audience is a cardinal sin. The very purpose of blogging is to interact with your customers and other regular visitors. Unless you respond to their feedback, whatever it might be, they will definitely abandon you in droves.
