Technology company Ericsson, has developed a new product “Lifestore”, which is a platform for aimed at helping telecom companies create a social networking portal. The platform allows its users to use picture and text messages to stay connected to various social networking sites like Facebook and Bebo.
The product also offers a visual address book that allows its users to organize their contacts across different social networks. They can be organized into different groups visually, depending on their closeness with the user. The product is designed for people with a limited budget and allows for updates from social networking sites for five close friends only. It is aimed at people who change their phones impulsively, but are active social media users.
