Facebook Connect To Be Off Soon
In a recent press conference held in San Francisco, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook announced that with the launch of the ‘Open Graph’, Facebook Connect, which is the company’s only tool for enabling access to the third party websites into the social graph, will no longer be available.
Mr. Zuckerberg also announced that, the API and the Open Graph protocol will help the developers to easily access the social graphs and incorporate them into their web services too. Among its 30 plus launch partners, some are Yelp, Microsoft and Pandora.
These new changes in the policies and philosophies of the company will make the ‘Facebook Connect’ almost non-existential. But whether it will be replaced or renamed later is not exactly clear till now.
