Liberty Mutual released a “comprehensive national survey” of online behavior yesterday in which it said that men frequent social networking sites more often than women and that they view social media activities in a more positive light than women do. This report seems to contradictory to the one released by Royal Pingdom and other recent surveys.
Here are some of the findings of Liberty’s survey:
- Apart from Facebook, men are more likely to use social networking platforms a few times in a week. The breakdown of usage frequency is 53% men vs. 38% women on Twitter, 25% men vs. 16% women on LinkedIn, and 35% men vs. 26% women on MySpace.
- 57% men are more likely to have multiple social networking accounts than 50% women.
