When we presented the first part of this article…we promised that we would be back with its second edition this week. So, HERE WE ARE!
In the first part of the article we gave some SEO tips – finding relevant keywords, creating linkable content and finding information about your competitors. Today, we will provide some more suggestions for a successful SEO strategy. So without any further delay, let’s check them out:
Sitemap, sitemap, sitemap!
If you’re looking to optimize your SEO tactics, you must create sitemaps. A simple yet interesting sitemap in HTML version and another in XML for human visitors and robots, respectively…would make it very easy for either of them to locate your content or search your website. And here you need to remember what we had told in the first part of this article…CREATE SOME WORTHWHILE CONTENT!
Creating SEO-friendly URLs is crucial
If you want to earn high search-engine ranks for your keywords, avoid dynamic URLs and instead create clean and simple URLs. Having a short description of your products/services in your URL is also a great way of creating clean and effective website addresses. Moreover, try avoiding “?” or “&” in your URLs…this would affect your URL’s ability to earn high search engine ratings for your keywords. The best thing to do would be keeping your URLs short and concise.
Using images? But, you MUST be careful!
If your content includes images, you need to make an extra effort to optimize your website. First of all, you need to realize that search-engine spiders can read the text in your content and not in your images. So, you must create keyword-rich descriptions for the images that you may use. This would help the spiders to locate your content…which would eventually help you earn favorable search-engine ratings for your website.
So, that was it. Start following these tips together with those we gave earlier…and your website is going to enjoy an advantage in terms of search-engine ratings!
