The worlds of Search and Social Media are no longer two separate entities. With Google Buzz and other search engines incorporating Facebook status updates and tweets into their search results, both these worlds seem to have met halfway and intermingled.

Social media and search are equally important weapons in a smart marketer’s arsenal. The simplest point that can be made with regard to the combined use of search, SEO, and SMM is that social media outlets need to be used as a tool for keyword suggestion. Social media pages will then attract the most valuable and targeted traffic.
