Twitter is now available for Blackberry phones. The beta version of the social networking site can be downloaded from the BlackBerry App World or through the BlackBerry browser.

The features of this dedicated app  includes receiving Direct Messages immediately, posting links through the BlackBerry browser, replying to tweets, re-tweeting, and sending Direct Messages, changing the app’s appearance, editing your profile, building lists, automatic updates, push notifications, and shortening URLs. BlackBerry’s sales have decreased when compared to the iPhone and Android devices. It is believed that the release of the Twitter app is to help promote the smartphone’s sales.
