The ongoing geolocation war between two of the largest mobile apps, namely Gowalla and Foursquare reached its pinnacle in the recently held South by Southwest conference. Both these players were at loggerheads with each other for a geolocation denomination.
Though it is learnt that Foursquare had a brilliantly executed conference, the actual outcome about who “really won” the geolocation war is still unclear.
In a recent infographic representation brought out by a certain company, the graphical representation of the social chatter carried in regard to the geolocation tools, both before and after the conference, is given.
Though it is seen that Foursquare has managed to gather more attention in the social networks, about 38,000 mentions; Gowalla found about 8296 mentions, around 25% less than Foursquare.
Seemingly Foursquare is leading the geolocation war, but who really manages to win in the end is worth waiting and watching out for.
